Quality Assurance

The output parameters of our T-105, T-160, T-200 and T-300 systems are permanently monitored during operation. A network of quality assurance measures ensures a high standard of safety. The following modules are part of the integrated quality assurance system in our equipment:

Daily Function Test
When the system is switched on, all relevant sensors and actuators are subjected to an automatic function test. The equipment is then started up at high voltage. This automatic procedure ensures that the tube reaches its operating temperature, and the dielectric strength test can be performed. Treatment of patients is possible only when all tests have been successfully carried out.

Permanent Monitoring
A built-in dosage monitor monitors the beam quality and shuts down in the event of a fault. The stable HT-transformer regulates tube voltage and tube current permanently within the tightest tolerances. The high voltage generator detects faults automatically, reports errors in plain text, and switches off for safety in case of fault. The interlock circuit monitors the external conditions permanently and reports any faults.

Long-term Stability
A built-in dosage monitor monitors the beam quality and shuts down in the event of a fault.

Cyclical Constancy Testing
A specially designed device to test constancy enables rapid and reproducible detection of the parameters and radiation dose rates of the useful beam, as well as the beam quality. The device has a PMMA scattering body, with two measuring points for the Farmer chamber, and can be inserted directly into the tube holder of our T-160, T-200 and T-300 systems.
